The TyneWear Partnership is a sub-regional partnership established to further the economic regeneration of Tyne and Wear by ensuring that the work carried out by the public, private and voluntary sectors is strategic and co-ordinated.

Almost £115m of government funding has already been agreed by One NorthEast for the TyneWear Partnership over the next three years.

The Partnership has identified targets for creating or protecting over 6,500 jobs, creating over 1,500 businesses, over 14,000 learning opportunities and preparing a total of 185 acres of brownfield land for future development.

The Partnership also hopes to secure almost £14m of private investment in deprived areas.
